Level 2 Close Protection (Top Up Course)
Level 2 Close Protection (Top Up) Course, 1 week in duration, covering the mandatory requirements of the new specifications relating to Close Protection Operatives.
Description
From the 1st of October 2022 any Close Protection Operative holding an SIA CP Licence must now undergo this new qualification before they can apply for their current licence to be renewed.
a 3-day course if you have a valid FAW, FREC, FPOS or Equivalent and with a minimum of 12 months validation remaining, ensuring the Operative is brought up to date with the new requirements.
If you require the FAW qualification prior to the course, there will be an additional cost of £120 and a further 2-days added to the course making it a 5-day course.
Topics covered include:
- Principles of Terror Threat Awareness.
- Principles of working as a Door Supervisor for Close Protection Operatives.
- Application of Physical Intervention Skills for Close Protection Operatives.
- Application of Physical Intervention Skills in the Private Security Industry.
- First Aid at Work (As a minimum)
Assessments are conducted through multi-choice examination and practical assessments.
Prerequisites
Learners must be 18yrs of age or over.
Learners must hold the equivalent of at least a Level 1 in English, (Small Initial assessment completed prior to attending).
If the learner already holds at least a First Aid at Work qualification, this must have at least 12 months validation still left on it to be recognised.
