Description

Our SIA Instructor Course is compulsory to become a professional SIA Trainer, Once qualified it allows you to teach Security courses but you must be competent in the sector that you wish to teach, and for all sectors except Close Protection. Experience must be from within the UK.

We do offer an add on if you wish to teach Close Protection also which is an add on to this package, but you must be competent in the Close Protection sector and hold relevant front line experience. Experience must be from within the UK. 

This package comprises of three nationally recognised and mandatory qualifications required to become an SIA trainer.

  • Level 3 in Education and Training.
  • Level 3 Delivery of  Conflict Management Training.
  • Level 3 Delivery of Physical Intervention Training.

These courses can begin at anytime and will require the knowledge elements to be completed in your own time and assessed by the tutor, there is also some time that you will have to attend our centre and complete the Physical Intervention techniques and Conflict Management scenarios, these will be discussed and arranged as part of the course.

There is also the option of attending the centre over dedicated days and completing the work within a classroom environment face to face with the tutor and other learners.

Assessments will include multi-choice examinations. learner portfolio, question and answer sessions with the tutor and practical assessments on the techniques learned.

This package also includes a 12-month licence agreement to deliver the techniques you have been taught to other learners. After 12-months you then have to re-attend and complete a short refresher and purchase a further 12-month licence agreement.

Some elements may be able to be identified as Recognised Prior Learning, (RPL), for example, if you already hold a relevant teaching qualifications etc.

If you do wish to be able to teach the Close Protection element you must have relevant experience, if so, we can add on a further element as a further cost. Please contact us to discuss this.

Prerequisites

Must be over 18yrs of age, must hold an SIA licence in the sector they wish to teach, must have relevant front line experience and subject knowledge, and must have a good command of the English language.
